Pacific Wireless today announced the release of its new Die Cast Enclosure which will provide a weatherproof solution for network managers and installers to house their costly and weather-sensitive equipment in a secure environment. The DCE includes 6 engineered hole knockouts which allow for many different configurations of connectors and feedthru’s without the need for drilling holes. The knockouts are easily removed using a center punch and hammer. The enclosures have Qty 4 threaded ¼" tall standoffs in the base for mounting a user plate, which in turn can hold the users electronics. The new 6dBi Directional Desktop is also perfect for CPE equipment. It can be mounted indoors to communicate with an external base station thru a window or wall. 5/1/03 - Pacific Wireless now includes a free weatherproofing kit with all outdoor antenna products. The kit consists of a length of self ammalgamating rubber tape for sealing antenna connections. The self amalgamating tape bonds to itself thru a volcanizing action. When applied correctly, the tape will form a permanent weatherproof coating over the antenna connector to seal out unwanted moisture. Installation takes just a few minutes. 4/23/03 - Pacific Wireless Announces the release of it’s low cost APXtender product line. The APXtender line are range extender antennas for indoor wireless access points, routers and bridges. The 5.5dBi rubber duck antenna replaces the original 2.2dB antenna which comes on most wireless LAN equipment. With it’s 5.5dBi gain it effectively doubles the range of the equipment, giving higher signal levels and increasing speed. The 5dB desktop Omni is perfectly suited for those desktop applications where the antenna needs to be positioned away from the wireless equipment for best signal. These antennas are excellent alternatives to vertically polarized omnidirectional antennas and complement our existing line of 95 deg horizontally polarized sector antennas. Most interfereing signals that a WISP will encounter from cordless telephones and other 802.11b systems is vertically polarized. Using horizontally polarized antennas gives more than. 25dB cross pole rejection which minimizes the threat of the vertically polarized interference causing system problems. 4/10/02 - Pacific Wireless announces the immediate availability of leaded dipoles - Due to customer demand we have developed a new line of dipole with 24 inch connectorized pigtail exiting the back of the dipole.
